![]() ![]() Also letting her "sister in law" speak to her the way she did! I would have said " first of all biss this has nothing to do with u so watch ur mouth. ![]() Leaving the doc under the truck after knowing he was there, even mentioning his name to the old alpha when they arrived, should have triggered her memory of him and them receiving the last boost from the source could have happened a different way. Honestly half the time Alexis was an idiot. It was perfection and I can’t wait to read it again! Some battles are bigger than others, though! This book resonated with me on so many levels – it felt like a metaphor to remind me of the happy endings we all hope for in our daily lives as we fight our own battles. The ending was so well rounded and tied every aspect of the story up in a perfectly formed bow with such seamless resolution for all. Is it enough to say that this last installment, this ending (if it truly must be so), was UTTER PERFECTION? I had so many feely moments and I was so happy at the end I was just bawling coz my heart was so full. The development of each scene is as always brilliant and detailed and, from an emotional perspective, in this last one especially, I was overwhelmed by a plethora of emotions throughout the read. The pace of the story, throughout 4 books, has moved at a speed which was perfect for whichever storyline was in play at the time. And while that continues, there are relationships that have some fearful starts and some that have more hopeful beginnings and there are some that keep growing and blossoming and developing into something of continued beauty. The intrigue, mystery and the battle against the Goliath bad guys continues to rage. How do I tell you anything new without giving away spoilers and how do I repeat the awesome points without simply sounding repetitive? The problem with writing a review for the last book of a series is that it would be so easy to give away spoilers, not just for this book, but also for the books that have come before. I can’t believe that we’re at the end of this journey – and considering the travelling that has taken place in these books, I really do feel as though I’ve been on an epic journey! I can’t wait to see how the story progresses.I hate the end of a really good book! More especially, I really hate the end of an extraordinary series that has held my deep attention from the beginning. Alexis is strong and compassionate, even if she doesn’t realize it yet. It’s quite a different take on shifters and how they came about. She also has to keep reminding herself that she isn’t sure if she can trust these men with her life, let alone with her heart. ![]() Her physical and emotional strength is tested in ways she never could have imagined. The guys protect her and help her learn about the world and all of the things she has been missing. She is seeing life outside of a hospital for the first time and learning that there are bigger things being done by the hospital than she could have expected. After she is “captured” by four me, she is thrown into a world that she had no idea existed. That is until the facility is attacked and she is taken only to find that she isn’t sick at all and there is so much more to her life than she can imagine. Convinced that she is receiving treatment and working her way to getting better every day she goes about her daily life with the poking, prodding, changes in medications and constant monitoring of her daily activities. Alexis was diagnosed with a rare disease when she was young and for the past 10 years she has been in a state of the art medical research facility. ![]()
